oh ya, for boils, if there is a sign of head/opening, just give thm magnesium sulphate. to help draw the stuff out. once puss is out ,the swelling will go down.

Hey gerra if its not affectg the inside of the eyes(no pain no visual distrbnc, I wouldnt worry too much, I would think its a stye (some stye cant be seen from the outside) or outer eye infection coming up, I would either recommend brolene or golden eye for minor eye infection, but because they are drops, so probably wouldnt work as well as eye ointment(for lid), you could sell the chloramphenicol eye ointment. most of the otc stuff are mild and wouldnt harm, only worry is our diagnosis is wrong then it wont work. So if you recommend anythg, always tell thm to see doctor if it doesnt work.

I have seen similar cases – having a ball inside the skin, it could be a boil without head (opening) or oedema if it is soft. If it if soft and feels like there is water in there, they have to see the doctor/nurse, might need to get liquid drawed out. if its just a ball, swollen, often they can leave it for a couple of days, it should go away, sometimes after a few days, the ball becomes bigger and inflamed, then if thy put it under hot water, there will be a head, and they can try to press the puss out. quite nasty stuff. if very nasty boil, might need antibiotics, but most of the time, it is quite self limiting, unless huge area affectd. Same advice, leave it for a few days, if doesnt go then see gp. There is nothing much we can do, because we are not doctors we cant diagnose. BUt i have seen both these cases before, where i referred. Anything unsure, always refer Hope that helps!

sounds like you had a lot of fun:D:D:D but i was wondering if u could help me. i was in salcombe on sat and i had two persons com in with symtoms that i didnt have an idea of what it was. maybe you can help me. one girl around her twenties, with an eye thing. it looked like below her lower eyelashes it was a bit swollen, not really very read just a little. she said there was no discharge, no pain, no blurred vision just a bit annoying. i didnt know what to recommend because it didnt really look like a stye. i asked her to pull down the lid so i could see but nothing……….i didnt know so just told her to see her gp if it got worse. the next one was a girl around the same age that had a sore lump on the inside of her wrist you could see it on the skin. it looked like somebody had but a tiny ball inside the skin there was no bruising the skin looked normal, just a little bump. i had no idea hahaha, so weird stuff happens to me. heeeeeelp xxxx

Haha! Farah, I can’t imagine you getting mad!! Tell me about it. I have lost my cool several times already. I dont know if she was mad, because I am only a relief, I wouldn’t know and have nothing to do with the next day, coz id be in another store. lol

I almost lost my cool with someone last week.. Most people I can handle, but those who come in being patronizing, and insinuate that we don’t do our job properly just because the system/hospital policy is the way it is, really rubs me the wrong way…huhu..

bwahahahahaha u forgot to order!! hahahahahaha sorry i did the same thing. you apologise n apologise n say it wil be here tomorrow. and then u forget haha stupid non-prefab stores. at least with prefab it might come in but with the others there is no way haha
