Excessive use of mobile phones causing damage to the ears is a well known fact. My dad’s ears have been affected by the frequent use of mobile phone without using speaker or Bluetooth headset. He has always nagged me about it too, but like we always do, we ignore it. I do realise my ears been acting a bit funny, I get some ringing sound lingering in my ears after I hang up.. I guess I really have to take this seriously, start using bluetooth or speaker when I talk on the phone before any serious damage is done.
How often do you listen to what others have to tell you?? I have to admit, I seek for a listener more than I listen. This year it is going to be different. My new year resolution is to be a better listener, to listen without interupting, and to listen, process, and consider other’s suggestions and views before rushing into any actions or decisions hastly like I have always done in the past.

This chinese new year is not a special one, in fact this is my 6th year of not being home celebrating chinese new year with my family and friends. So, this really is just another day for me. Christmas was more of a big thing than CNY, at least I had Roast Turkey with my friends during xmas!! Lol.
I didn’t realised it was cny already, I didn’t plan in advance to have extra time off, to travel to my friends’ for a reunion dinner, and most of them are back home in Hong Kong. Having said that, I will be heading to London for the weekend, so hopefully I will have my share of cny celebration there! Whee..

Have you come across these free online dating websites?? I have always seen them pop up on my screen but have always ignored them. I never really thought about it, until one of my friends told me he met his other half online in IRC, this online chat place everyone used to go on, ages ago.
When you come to think of it, sometimes everything is possible eh? But I for one don’t trust people I meet on the internet. But who knows what could have happen eh? Life is full of surprises. When I think deep enough, actually I do know a hand full of people who met their lovers online across the globe!!

Some people skip meals when they are stressed, but some eat a lot to release stress. Which one are you? Unfortunately, I am the latter. I realised recently I have put on so much weight especially after Christmas and new year period. I just eat non-stop.
I think if I don’t start controlling my diet, I will have to start taking slimming tablets to keep my weight down! I keep eating when I am stressed and unhappy, and I do eat more than usual. This isn’t good eh, especially when I am someone who indulges in food so much, and eats more than a normal portion for a female.
Now that christmas and new year has passed, it is time to consider getting a TV again. If you followed my blogs, you would know I have been contemplating back and forth whether to get a TV. I have spent way too much past 2 months, so I don’t know if I should get a 29inch or 22inch tv. Any suggestions? My friends think I should get a bigger TV, but I think since I am only living in a small flat, 22 inch would be good enough?
I just came across a website that sells really cheap antennas, I am considering whether I should buy it now since its on offer, just incase I really do get a TV soon, then the antenna will come in handy. Decisions making is so hard. I am such a huge TV addict, having a TV would be ideal! Money is the only problem at the moment. Perhaps I should work a few more extra shifts 1st?

There are pros and cons going to brixham for work. The good thing is there are many nice cafes in Brixham that I can choose from for a lush lunch. Brixham don’t have many designer stores, but they do have little stores that sells multipurpose goods where you can’t find elsewhere i.e. utility knife.
The down side is Brixham is one of the furthest stores that I have to travel to, that means I have to get up earlier as well, and also I usually spend a lot of money for my lunch when I go to Brixham.
One of the days last week, I had my lunch at Lemon tree Cafe. I always have their broccoli and cauliflower soup. I love that soup so much. Brocolli and Cauliflower used to be my least favourite vegetables, but now I cook them more than other vegetables. It is also because Brocolli and Cauliflower are available in frozen packs as well and can be kept up till a month, I find it really convenient.
I’ve only just realised its winter solstice festival today after noticing everyone’s status on facebook. So I too went to make myself some Tong Yuen (Chinese dessert made of rice flour) too! Previously I bought some black sesame tong yuen when my friend was still around; I had 1 more packet in the freezer, which came in handy today!!
Tong Yuen pictures on facebook really made me crave for it. I didn’t have any ginger though, so the taste was not great, but still good enough to satisfy my cravings! Have you had your tong yuen??
Today I was the 2nd cover in my training (pre-reg) store, covering my tutor’s management day. I was so surprised when she opened the consultation room cupboard; she hid all the Christmas presents in there!
She said since I won’t see you till after Christmas, here you go, Merry Christmas! I was so touched; I never expected any gifts from her, but she did remind me not to open it until Christmas day! Oh I can’t wait. The present is actually next to me right now, I wonder what’s in there! *excited*
Do you have this problem that you need to do everything before you leave your work place?? For me, I am so used to trying to finish everything, and clearing up all the mess, so that the next morning when the pharmacist arrives, he/she will have a good start and clean dispensary to work in, just the same way I want it for myself.
Most of the time, I get into a pharmacy, there are lots to do, all the work from previous day or days, mess in the dispensary, no proper checking place etc. I really loathe stores that are unorganized. I understand that certain stores are very busy, and they havn’t got time to finish all the prescriptions on the same day, but I think the least one can do is to keep the dispensary bench tidy and clear at the end of the day, so to allow the pharmacist to work in a conducive environment, I think that would greatly influence the number of errors to minimum too.
A few of my university mates came over to Torquay from other parts of England for a visit last weekend. So I was their tour guide bringing them around Torquay, and snapping lots of pictures with them. When we were half way through walking along the scenic bridge by the seafront, guess what? My digital camera light started blinking, indicating low battery! I thought to myself, not again!
It seems like the battery life for my sony camera isn’t very long lasting. I think I need to get spare batteries and carry it with me since I always go travelling, and obviously I need to snap lots of pictures for my blogging too. How frustrating is that. Ever happen to you when it is the most important event, and your camera battery just died?
