A friend recommended one of Miley Cyrus songs to me called ‘the climb’. I found the song really comforting, and her voice is not bad. Another new found talent by me I thought I’d share with you the clip I found on You tube.

The climb was actually the soundtrack of the movie Hannah Montana 2009, Miley Cyrus was the main actress in the movie, and also the singer for the soundtrack. The song is written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe and was released on March 5, 2009 as the lead single of the film’s soundtrack by Walt Disney Records. The lyrics of the song describes life as a difficult but rewarding journey. It is a country pop ballad, and was her first solo released to country radio.

Cyrus released her second album in July 2008, called ‘Breakout‘. She said the album was inspired by the things that was going on in her life in the past year. She co-wrote 8 out of 12 songs on the album. For Cyrus, songwriting is what she really wanted to do in her life. The album topped the U.S. Billboard 200 chart with a first week sales of about 371,000 copies.

Her next album ‘The Time of Our Lives’ was released on August 31, 2009. It was released as promotion for Cyrus’s clothing line. The song made it to no.1 on Hot Digital Songs, making her the youngest artist to top the chart.

Take that used to be well known in the 1990′s then they sort of dissappeared. Now they are famous again, attributed to their song ‘Rule the world’, which is the soundtrack of the movie ‘Star Dust’. This song is an impressive come back from take that. I found the song on youtube, feel free to listen and let me know if you liked it too

I normally like to have the lyrics in front of me, so that I can sing along. I have this problem remembering lyrics just by listening, even if I listen to my favourite song for 101 times, I may only remember the chorus part. Call me lousy. She has been active since 1999. Somehow I never knew she existed until last year when she started judging at American Idol, that was when I knew she could sing! Since then I fell in love with her music. One of my favourite ones are terrified, lost, no boundaries (was one of the songs used for season 8 AI finals) , taking chances, strangers & angels. Didi benami sang terrified in season 9 AI recently, and made kara proud! Kara’s songs has became very famous through AI, and slowly being recognized by the public like myself
