Everyone has been talking about this. Yes, Take That will be holding their concert in England – Cardiff, London, Sunderland, Manchester during June – July period. Many people have already bought the tickets, and even started booking accomodation?! Hmm..rather early isnt it? But apparently not. Most of the affordable accomodations are fully booked.

I am contemplating if I should go.. I am not a huge fan of Take That at the moment, but I dont mind going for a concert, in fact, Iv not been to 1 in England! Darn. Plus, Robbie williams will be in the tour as well! And I have always liked his music. My dad and sister will be visiting in June, so I dont know if I should go. With who? friends or sister? the tickets have gone up to about £130 and above.. hmm.. I can’t decide. I don’t have any extra money at the moment, plus accomodation and train ticket. It will be well above £300. I can’t be bothered to plan. I still have to plan where to go when my dad and sis come to england. I know right, I think too much. ha-ha.

Are you going?? Should I go??

Did you take a 2 minute moment of silence at 11 am this morning to honour the war dead? Or you have no idea whatsoever what I am talking about?

Well today is Armistice Day, it falls on the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month. What is the reason behind this? Everyone across the nation would have observed a 2 minute silent moment at 11am as a remembrance of those who died in the first world war. This date was chosen to mark the end of world war 1.

If you just found out about this, don’t worry. Make sure you remember it next year, same time same day same month! It was really cool when I was working in the pharmacy today, someone was at the counter and others were shopping, but we put up a notice and gestured to the customers to be silent, and everyone just stood still for 2 minutes :D

Car audio receiver as daddy’s birthday gift

car audio receiver

I iust spoke to my family over the phone. Apparently my dad’s car audio receiver is not working again. When I went back home few months ago, driving my dad’s car was a pain. I have always liked to have music on when I am on the road, but it seems like even after we have fixed it many times, it gets spoiled again. I guess it is time to replace the old one. I think I can get it for my dad’s birthday, since his birthday is 2 weeks from now :)

I can also use my voice recorder to sing him a birthday song and send him my wishes across the globe. Wouldn’t that be a great idea? I am sure he would be so surprised! Good thing my dad doesn’t read my blog, or else it wouldn’t be a surprise anymore!

Do you think a car audio receiver would make a good gift or is it too cheap for a dad’s birthday? It is the thought that matters isn’t it? I will give a good think about it. Any other ideas what I can get for my dad’s birthday? I prefer getting practical gifts.

Today is Bonfire night! This special night is celebrated annually on 5th of November by the British. This night involves the use of fireworks and lighting of bonfires.

If you live in England, you can’t missed it, you can hear fireworks from almost anywhere, you could probably see them from your windows too!

Bonfire night is also known as Guy Fawkes night, and is celebrated by few other countries too i.e Australia, and Canada. I never knew the entire history behind this special day.

What I understand is that in 1605, a group of young men planned to blow up Houses of Parliament in London. One of them was Guy Fawkes. To carry out their plan, they got hold of 36 barrels of gunpowder, stashed them in the cellar under the House of Lord. So Guy Fawkes was working in the cellar with the gunpowder on 5th of November, but somehow the authorities heard rumours and found out about it. They caught Guy Fawkes early hours of November 5th, torture and executed him.

So basically the bonfire night is a celebration of the failed gunpowder plot. Did you join the celebration??
