Trying to think who’s music I should put on my blog today? It has got to be someone I like, and the music has to be great, if not I wouldn’t be proud to share it with you :) So who’s that person on my mind? Are you ready to find out?…
Well, that special one is Michael Lee johns, an Australian, who joined the American idol 2 years ago, in season 7, together with david cook and david archuleta. Does his name ring a bell?? U got to remember him! One big fuss was made when Michael was eliminated from the competition, even the judges thought he left too early, at least Simon thought so. He finished with 8th place. I strongly agree that he shouldn’t be voted out so early, anyway if he was still in, I think he would have made it to top 3. Btw, I thought his bohemian rhapsody was one of his best, if you have not heard his version during the audition, please do now! It’s better than queen’s version, in my oppinion.

My favourite singer in that season was actually Michael Johns. When he left AI, I started searching all about him. He is a singer and song writer, I found out he had his own band before he joined AI, and there is one song that I like very much. I found his song on youtube, I would like to share it here with you. It is called Q when he was still in the band Film. I think the way he sings, is so cool. Look at the way he hold his mic! Love him, I like the way he is so low profile, down to earth guy, who seemed very laid back as well, no fears whatsoever. Maybe that was the reason why he was eliminated? Not desperate enough to win? Haha.. I have no idea what went wrong then. Ooh btw, he is 6 foot 3!! I know that is very random

 
For those who are now interested in his music, here is a little information about him. He is born on 20th oct 1978, in perth, Australia, he moved to USA in 1998, on a tennis scholarship and majored in drama in a college in Tifton. He lived in Atlanta, Georgia for 6 years, and he constantly performs locally. Then he went to LA and formed a rock band ‘the rising’ after he left the previous band Film. And that is when he met his long term girlfriend Jill stephens. That was history. He is now married to Texan wife, Stacey Vuduris, and currently living in LA, California.

So what is he doing at the moment? Oh yes, that’s right!  A new album!  He has recently released a single called heart on my sleeve, and the album – hold back my heart in 2009. I have just listen to the songs in the new album, it is not bad, check out heart on my sleeve, it is a nice song from Mich. He managed to sell 20,000 copies of this, well done mich!!

When I was in st Austell during the weekend hanging out with my friends, one of them were playing the old boy band songs non-stop, which included Westlife, Backstreet boys, N sync etc. It reminded me of my childhood days, when I was a crazy fan of westlife!! I remember going to their concert, and paying the highest price to get the front seats, and standing up on the chair, screaming my lungs out at Kian Egan and Nicky Bryne, my 2 favourites, but they were the 2 least talented singers within the entire group. Anyway those were the days man, it makes me laugh when I think back. I still listen to their songs at times, but not as much now, but  I can still sing most of their songs without looking at the lyrics!! haha. Anyone listens to westlife? who is your favourite?

For those who are not farmiliar with westlife, they are an Irish boy band, who started out having 5 members – Shane, Mark, Bryan, Nicky, and Kian. Now only 4 members, Bryan has left the group a few years ago. Shane is the main singer, followed by Mark. They were the boy band who sang ‘If I let you go’, ‘Swear it again’, ‘Flying without wings’ in their 1st album and it made them famous. Ronan Keating was their manager when they 1st came out as  a band, that was when Bryan Mc Fadden was still around. Now Simon Cowell is their manager. Do you know westlife has been around for 10 years now! Aren’t they great? Not many boy bands can stay strong and be around for a long time. But I guess westlife is an exceptional case. Some people may find their songs boring, but I find it really nice to sing along, very light and soothing. Great for karaoke
