I’v always liked country music, and Carrie Underwood is one of my favourite country singers.

I came accross one of her videos on facebook the other day, and was blown away. She received standing ovation from the crowd which were mainly celebrities when she belched out How Great Thou Art on stage with Vince Gill.

This video is a must watch, even if you are not christian or holy person, just listen to her singing, it is just pitched perfect, and very touching.

Yes, the winner of american idol 2011 goes to Scotty Mccreery. I mean everyone has expected it I think. He is more consistent every week, he has a very likable and unique alto voice which sounds really good when he sings country songs. He is always very comfortable on stage compared to Lauren Alaina, who has got a nice powerful voice but a bit shy on stage.

And like some people said, since most voters are females anyway, the male finalist always have the advantage of winning! I don’t know how true that is, but I think it makes sense! Don’t you think??

This weeks top 3 performances are a dissapointment. None of them came up with a ‘wow’ performance, dont you think?

Scotty can only sing certain songs, he does country well, but not a song with high notes, because he sounds awful when he tries to reach high notes with his super alto voice. And again the way he holds his microphone, and tilt his head really annoys me, I dont know why!

Lauren Alaina has a nice powerful voice but is typical. Many people with good voices sound the same, she isn’t unique enough to win it, where as Haley has a very unique tone, and style of her own.

Haley Reinhart rocked american idol today! She was never my favourite in this season, but her performance today really got to me. I think she has become very confident over the weeks, and her performance today impressed me, in fact it blew me away! Best performance of the night. I was going to vote for her immediately, but my stupid phone battery died, and I was stuck at a friend’s place, without my charger , I think I could do with extra telephone batteries!

Did you see Sara Ramirez on the front row in the crowd? She was cheering for Haley too! Haley’s rendition of House of the rising sun was amazing, it was a wise choice for her to do an acapella version without the band, which made her voice stand out even more! I wouldn’t have youtube this song, if it wasn’t for her performance tonight. So she made this song famous once again!

So have you been following the american idol 2011?? Who do you think will be the winner then for this year?

Frankly speaking, eversince Pia was eliminated, I have lost interest in american idol 2011, I only watch it occasionally when I remember. I no longer follow it like a crazy fan. This has pretty much became a boring season for me, so I normally multitask when watching the episode now, I was actually reading some myoswell review when I watched the Top 6 performed! Lol, I do that when Jacob or casey perform, don’t really like both their styles.

The only person I still support is the 16 years old young talent – Lauren Alaina, she has always been consistent from the beginning. Having said that, she has been playing safe every week and have not given any ‘wow’ performances since audition time actually. So I really hope she will step up the game, or else she probably won’t win.

So at the moment, I think if James keeps performing the way he did tonight, he will win.

Have you been following american idol season 10 closely? I used to follow it when I was in Uk, but since I came home, I havn’t really been watching until today!

I am so so shocked that Pia is out already last week! This is so wrong. I feel that the judges shouldn’t have used up the save card so early, that now even that the judges were shocked and wish to save her, they can’t! Isn’t it frustrating? Pia was one of many favourites, and she is consistently good every week.

This week’s result is another shocker, Paul is eliminated today. I seriously don’t understand how the voters vote! Now I only have one favourite left, and please make sure she stays till the finals, or else I will boycott american idol!! Argh. Lauren Alaina, is my only last hope. The rest who are still in the competition, are really not my cup of tea especially Casey.

I just want to share a song that I am addicted to so much at the moment. Everyone knows that Bruno Mars is so hot and famous now, especially with his songs ‘ Just the way you are’ and ‘Billionair’. But after listening to Grenade sang by the 3 girls in American Idol 2011, I fell in love with the song. Check out Bruno Mars studio version, it is the best version ever. I would so totally go for his concert!!! How about you?

I am very into Grey’s Anatomy season 7 at the moment, can’t wait for episode 14 to be out tomorrow!!

In a moment, I will be watching American Idol new season Episode 7!! Woohoo, get to watch Steve Tyler and Jennifer Lopez again, loving J.LO as the new american idol judge! DO you like the 2 new judges??

I have also just finished watching the apprentice and the amazing race, and waiting for the new season of america’s next top model to start!! Not so into How I met your mother after watching 1 episode. I guess it is not my cup of tea.

As for asian tv, I am currently watching 7 days in life 隔离七日情, and The rippling blossom 鱼跃在花见, totally loving Julian Cheung Chi Lam in this new series, he has such a cheerful and happy go lucky character, he makes me laugh! Loved him in today’s episode when he was trying to make Tavia Yeung Yi happy.

What are you watching at the moment? Any good recommendation for this couch potato?? >.<

Who is Harry Connick Jr??? He was mentoring the american idols this week.. I have to admit I had no idea who he was, only just got to recognize his music after AI.. I actually spent less than 5 minutes checking him out on youtube, and I gave up.. his music is too slow for me.. very Jazzy and old fashion… Eventhough I like oldies, I don’t appreciate his music. What do you think of him??

hey peeps.. do you guys watch American Idol?? No?? the latest season?? Well you gotta watch it, it is coming to an end, only 5 contestants left.. and it is Simon Cowell’s last season as well as AI judge.. you really dont want to miss this Oh well, won’t force you if you’re not a fan ;P

Btw, How come no comments at all people, those who watch AI.. Come on guys, give me some support, this blog is becoming so dull without you participating.. yes youu .. :] At least just let me know who your favourite is maybe?? and who do you think will be the next american idol?? I think Lee Dewyze has the most potential considering his last few performance went well.. anyone agree with me on that??
