Take that used to be well known in the 1990’s then they sort of dissappeared. Now they are famous again, attributed to their song ‘Rule the world’, which is the soundtrack of the movie ‘Star Dust’. This song is an impressive come back from take that. I found the song on youtube, feel free to listen and let me know if you liked it too
I normally like to have the lyrics in front of me, so that I can sing along. I have this problem remembering lyrics just by listening, even if I listen to my favourite song for 101 times, I may only remember the chorus part. Call me lousy. My friend was playing his favourite compilation of R&B music CD in the car for the past few Mondays when driving to Bristol. There is one particular song that I can’t get out of my mind at the moment- ‘No One’ by Alicia keys. This song is from her 3rd album called As I am released in 2007.

David cook is 2008 American Idol winner, and is by far the most talented one I have seen so far apart from adam lambert whom I think is a born talent in music industry as well. I never fancied pop rock/alternative rock songs, I find them abit noisy, but he is so good, that he made me love his music so much. Great isn’t it? Some people may find him arrogant, I think Simon thought that about him as well, but i think that makes him the cool cook, very confident and has his very own style. His song ‘permanent’ is written by him for his late brother who suffered from cancer, a heart felt song from cook.
RIP Adam Cook. Listen to David’s speech, he is awesome, dont you think? He seems very positive and strong, and very suportive of the cancer survivors out there. We should all do what we can to help these people, there are so many out there struggling with cancer, it would be great if all of us can do a little bit, and a little bit from everyone will make a big difference. You GO, david cook!

She has been active since 1999. Somehow I never knew she existed until last year when she started judging at American Idol, that was when I knew she could sing! Since then I fell in love with her music. One of my favourite ones are terrified, lost, no boundaries (was one of the songs used for season 8 AI finals) , taking chances, strangers & angels. Didi benami sang terrified in season 9 AI recently, and made kara proud! Kara’s songs has became very famous through AI, and slowly being recognized by the public like myself

Hello people!!
Welcome to my 3rd blog on music!!
I’ll start with a little intro about myself. Who am I? I am a fresh graduate from University of Bath, England, and now just started working in a pharmacy, training to be a pharmacist :) I’m almost there, several more months to go. Currently Living in Torquay, Devon, a nice little town with a beautiful harbour, and of course plenty of great restaurants for seafood :) did I mention I love food as well?
So as you can see from the name of my blog, this is my very own music paradise. I enjoy music a lot, both listening and also singing, unfortunately am not a born talent, so I enjoy listening more I used to join choir during school days though.
Through this blog, I’d like to share some of the good music I listen to with all of you out there, and hopefully we can discuss about the singers we like in common! What music do I listen to? Well, many people call me ‘old fart’ because I listen to oldies a lot in my younger days, my favourite was ABBA and Carpenters, I guess I was influenced by my parents. I also used to like boy bands e.g. westlife, BSB, boyzone, etc.
Besides Oldies, I’m into country music too; I like Shania Twain, Faith Hill, and Carrie Underwood.
How about now? Currently after watching many seasons of American Idol, I’m starting to like alternative rock and R&B e.g. David cook and Alicia Keys
The only music I think I will never appreciate would be hard core rock songs, probably too much noise for me. I like music, not much screaming and shouting, sorry guys, I just don’t appreciate them.
